Hello - Same issue for me here. My setup is made of one RBE371 and 2xRBE370, firmware V12.1.3.11_5.1.12, acquired end of October 2025. Initially I thought the issue was coming from my ISP Live TV stream that was freezing for 1 to 5 second every hour (my ISP TV box is connected via WiFi to a RBS), knowing that during the same period my ISP had also some TV stream issues on their side. But now the ISP issues have been fixed and I still have these hourly freezes. Today, after reading these posts, I started a ping against the IP address of the RBR from a Mac connected via WiFi to a RBS nearby, just before the time the issue was expected to happen. I could then see, at the expected issue time, the RBR no longer responding to the ping and the TV live stream having the issue at the same time. I applied a channel value change to the 5 gHz following recommendations read earlier in the thread, the drop issue didn't disappear but change time to the time the wifi channel change was applied (was previously every 34' past an hour, now 5' past an hour). So I'm now convinced that something recurrently en regularly happens in the Netgear setup that impacts my user experience. I'll open a new ticket accordingly.430Views0likes38CommentsLag and intemittent connection issues on new Orbi 370
Hello, I recently upgraded my old Orbi system to a 370. Since then, I have regular network interruption issues on most of my main Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Sonos and Spectrum issues mostly. Every hour or so, the internet connection will pause. This drives my wife crazy when she is watching one of her shows. :P My once-very-good internet connection to my laptop is sluggish and struggles to connect. Can someone help?131Views0likes22CommentsNetgear Orbi 370
Couple questions that hopefully are easy to answer (I'll give context first), I'm looking to revamp my home network system, i currently use my ISP router which while its good doesn't cover the whole house. I have tried the mesh wifi systems wirelessly but due to the age and size of the house they just don't work here. Fortunately when we bought the house we had it rewired with cat6 cable to every room. We get just shy of 1GB up and 500 down and while i know its not necessary i would like to be able to get this speed or close too throughout the house. 1st question, if I was to buy 6 of the Netgear Orbi 370 series would i be able to hard wire them all back to the router so they work as a mesh system just wired? 2nd question which i may already know the answer to this, can these be powered over PoE or do you have to use the DC cable to power them. 3rd question I want to change the router would I be best to buy a Netgear router that goes to the switch in my house then back out to all the access points or could i just use one of the orbies then go to the switch then to the remaining access point?148Views1like6CommentsPort forwarding with Comcast
I am putting my Comcast XB7 modem/router in to bridge mode and connecting to an Orbi 370 I am doing this to avoid the Comcast router not doing port forwarding even though I set that up in the Xfinity app The XB7 has several Ethernet ports. I have one that goes to a Verizon micro-cell and another that goes to some old vintage commercial computers. So I want to put a simple Net Gear switch at the main Orbi's Ethernet port. Is that going to be a problem? I need the three Orbis to be upstairs, so I have a long cat 5 to the vintage equipment in the basement. So 1) Is there any issue anyone is aware of to put in a port forward to ports 22 and 23 with a switch in-line? 2) Can I have one vintage computer be port forwarded to via two different ports? 3) Is anyone aware of Comcast "features" such as their "advanced security" getting in the way of this?217Views0likes2CommentsMore Printer Problems with an RBE371 Mesh Network
I've been having a problem with my new Netgear Orbi RBE371 mesh network since I installed it on Saturday. I have two printers, an Epson ET-8500 and a Brother MFC-L3770CDW. Until Saturday I was using an older Google Mesh network with no problems. I was able to print with no problems to both printers from my Macbook, my iPad and my iPhone. I upgraded to the Netgear Orbi mesh network. That's when my troubles began with these printers. I would be able to print to both printers from my Mac and then several minutes later my laptop couldn't connect to them. They still appear in the network and in the print settings on the laptop, but when sending a job the print queue would say it was unable to communicate with the printer. They also appear in the router web page when I display all the connected devices. Furthermore, my iPad can't even find the printers anymore. The first things I tried were to rejoin the printers to the network as well as my laptop and turn off / on the wifi on my laptop. This met with a little bit of temporary success, but then stopped working again within 30 minutes. I then set static IP addresses for each printer to make sure they won't change. The problem still occurred. Then I found an article that stated the Channel for the 2.4Ghz network needs to be between 1 and 11. This router goes between 1 and 13 and was set to Auto. So I set the channel to 11. The problem still continues. At this point I'm not sure what else I can do to solve this problem. I can't seem to find any other information that can help me with this. Is there anything else I can do to try and fix this problem?Solved659Views0likes19CommentsOrbi 370 Satellite Speed is bad
I thought I was upgrading from my RBR50 and 1 satellite that died by getting the Orbi 370 and 1 satellite. Wow was I wrong. I have 500 speed fiber. Wireless that sees the router gets great speed, same as my old RBR50. The satellite barely breaks 150 up and down. The RBR50 satellite would push at least 350 or more. The router and satellite are in the same exact locations in my house as the RBR50 was. I did the install by the book and made no changes to the basic or advanced settings. Is the 370 just an inferior product? Are there settings I should change to get back to the speeds I had with the RBR50 satellite? If this can't be resolved easily. I'm returning the 370 and tring another brand mesh system493Views0likes10Comments
