My RBR has ridiculous ping after 12. update
Has this happen to anybody else where the ping is so high on the rbr but the satellites have the correct ping ? my speed test is terrible on the main router but on the satellites its ok, this happens...

Is this tested on a ethernet PC or wireless?
What brand and model# ISP modem or ONT is the RBR connected too?
Is IPv6 enabled?
Any features enabled like Armor or SPC?
What is CAT# LAN cable between the RBR and ISP modem/ONT?
Same thing seen with ethernet PC directly connected to the ISP modem/ONT?

Some of these questions bro not necessary as the system been working for years this start happening after the update. But let me answer
im using the required cat 6
armor is connected test was done turn it off and on still never work
ipv6 is off
Bran the modem is connected to is a sercom
I have re ran the firmware same thing. I have factory reset same thing
I have not tested on ethernet because as I said the satellites works fine and they are hard wired.(right speeds and reeding) its just the RBR is the issue.

Is the cable UTP or STP? STP makes a difference.
There a model # of the sercom modem?
Which ISP are you connected with?
What region are you located?
Sorry but questions are necessary for us to help troubleshoot the issue and narrow down where the issue or cause is. The more details and information we can can help NG review this.
Your the only one seeming to be having this issue.
I have v12 loaded on mine and have never seen this. Though mines connected to a cable modem. CM3000.- HappyCatJul 22, 2026Apprentice
It would be helpful to see
- The results of a Speed Test run on the router itself, using either the web interface or the Orbi 'app'
- Information about the WiFi connection of the test device to the Orbi. What is the reported "Link Speed"?
Personally, I find the Download speed far more disturbing than the ping. A gigabit ISP connection and a Download speed of 6.46 megabits?????
