When attempting to diagnose network problems, erratic behavior that happens at random intervals is very difficult. What we all would prefer is a condition that can be replicated at will. i.e. "I do this and then that happens... every time!" in this case:

It might be useful to keep a log of when these outages occur and what equipment is connected to the network at the time. It might be helpful to set the debug option to Start Debug Log Capture when boot up. I have never seen documentation regarding how to interpret the debug log, but there might be information about what caused the system to restart.

I have over 120 devices on the network which has been functioning fine since unplugging the satellites. The only devices that were using the switch in question were the router and the two satellites on the 10g ports. I just added the switch back with the router and one satellite so will see how this goes.
