New 770 won't connect to Internet
My current system is a 6000, but I just got notified that it is out of support/patch. So, I bought a 770 and tried to get it running. It was a struggle to get the app to connect, but I eventually got that done.
When I plug it to the fiber modem, I can't get it to connect. I have reset the 770 router, bounced the modem and router, but it doesn't connect to the outside.
My current 6000 router is on a longer run of cat5e, and that is where I started. I moved to a short cable connected to the modem, but that didn't make a difference. When disconnect the new system, power it down and then power up the 6000 system, it connects to the Internet.
I am kind of out of ideas on where to go from here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

What brand is the 6000 router?
What brand and model# is the modem?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
