One of the 2.5 ports will just drop back to 1gig
970 Series Anyone seen this before I replace my switch? 10gig in and also wired from router directly to a Satellite, all works great, ALL wifi's work great, but one lan port I have coming off the...

Ya, no a fan of there stuff. Have tried some and all has gone back.
You might try NGs MS105 which is 2.5Gb supporting or a XS5050M if you want 10Gb support. I have the XS505M and GS110MX and both are solid behind my RBR.

It was the port connected to the RBR as mentioned above. I didn't remove it from the RBR but from the switch and plugged it into another port on the switch to get it back to 2.5. All the other ports on the RBR at the time were 10 and 2.5 working. Just the one the switch was plugged into went to 1gig.
I use good Cat6 and Cat7 cable and not cheap garbage as I have been in telecom for some time and learned that lesson along time ago. I am using a TP-Link 2.5gig switch though. Since moving it, it's still at 2.5 so I'm assuming it's the cheap switch and need to get off my wallet. Thanks..

Replaced with a 2.5 gig NETGEAR switch and all is well on that issue. Thanks. Now if I can fix the elephant in the room.
$1800 and goes down on me at least once a day between router and satellites. Wireless or wired.
Router is connected to fiber at the 10 gig port and a 2.5 gig switch. Also 2nd 10gig port is connected to the first satellite. Second Satellite is wireless. For no reason, the wireless on the two satellites will just go away!! Everything wireless then wants to connect to the router or at least tries as it stays up! Also everything wired continues to work. I have even tried to remove the wired backhaul and make them all wireless. No joy.
10 minutes later the first satellite comes back online. I have to manually unplug the wireless satellite to get it back. Then unplug all my devices to get them to connect to the satellite they should be connected to once I get them up (the closest). Not happy right now. I have used NETGEAR for years. 30 years in telecom. All my switches, managed and unmanaged are NETGEAR. WI-FI and extenders are, NAS, etc. Never an Issue until these 971/0's.
I now see wireless things will connect to a router or satellite 60+ feet away when there is literally one 6’ from it in an open room! But it will pick the one way away! This thing is nuts!

MS308 fixed that issue.
