Orbi 770 Not Stable in AP mode
Recently purchased a 770 Orbi System to try in place of an existing Nighthawk router (RAX50v2) to get more coverage. The Nighthawk was in AP mode with our existing Zyxel router. I set up the Orbi...

Decided to ultimately return for a full refund. because I was able to get a competitor mesh product working as expected in AP mode.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
Make sure the Zyxel router has it's wifi radios disabled.
How is the RBR configured for AP mode? Dynamic or Static IP configuration?
What devices are connected to the system?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Hello FURRYe38,
I believe I have tried most of your suggestions:
To summarize:
- Swapped out cable from Orbi to Zyxel router with no change.
- Zyxel doesn't have any Radios. Previous router is Netgear Nighthawk which is currently back in place because it is working, but was off when testing with Orbi
- On latest firmware V10.5.20.10_2.2.51.
- I tried Dynamic and Static IP configurations with no success or change in behavior
- Laptops and Cell Phones are typically connected
- Square footage is roughly 7,000
- When connected the satellites are about 40 ft away from router, but currently disconnected since I can't get stability with just the router in place
- Tried Auto settings for 2.4 and 5 Ghz and some recommended channels with no change in behavior.
- Same behavior when disabling MAC address randomizers.
Thanks, but I am hoping for a miracle before this goes back. I think I have a couple more weeks before I will be forced to return.

Did the system come with V10.5.20.10 preloaded on it or did you update to this after you bought it?
