Orbi 770 Not Stable in AP mode
Recently purchased a 770 Orbi System to try in place of an existing Nighthawk router (RAX50v2) to get more coverage. The Nighthawk was in AP mode with our existing Zyxel router. I set up the Orbi...

Decided to ultimately return for a full refund. because I was able to get a competitor mesh product working as expected in AP mode.

Ok, I'll recommend you take the system back to where you got it. Possible bad system and FW may not fix it.
I'll pass this to NG for review in hopes they can check this out.

Yeah I am leaning towards returning them. I don't think I want to replace at this point. Another odd thing I noticed too was that in AP mode it says the satellites are all synced, but I can tell that no devices are using the satellites even though Router mode seemd to be fine and performed like a true mesh network. The satellite local web pages would show no connections and AP mode: disabled. The router main page says all devices are connecting to it. Might explain some of the devices dropping in and out. I wonder if there is just something inherenitly wrong with the 770s for AP mode. I am going to try another manufacturer while I still have this Orbi set. I really didn't think this would be all that difficult.

Possible this set could be faulty out of the box. Something you can check with NG support and see if there is an RMA option for you.
