Maybe a Private Message (PM) to Kevin would help get that Engineering connection set up?
I have Wireshark listening to my Ethernet connection to the router. (what fun!) Will leave it running until some EAPoL packets appear (or do not appear). So, the computers connected to the RBR (router) experience the problem and also the computer that is running Wireshark and connected to the satellite?
Not to be a kill-joy, but.....
- EAPoL appears to involve a Radius server, which is generally not part of residential WiFi configurations.
- There may be a simple explanation for the DHCP results. The initial DHCP Discover message uses a broadcast address (255.255.255.255), but the DHCP Offer is typically addressed to the MAC address that sent out the Discover. Thus, Wireshark running on the computer Ethernet connection will not detect offers that are sent to a different hardware MAC address.
Thanks for continuing to study this issue.

Yeah, I'm certainly not an expert on this. Hopefully the additional data gathered is something that helps the engineering team figure out the issue, though. I'm beyond frustrated after over a year of this issue. It still feels like the engineering team would be able to solve the issue pretty quickly, though, considering it happens every 60 minutes on the dot across multiple devices. I don't appear to be the only person reporting this issue, as well.
