Orbi 773 versus 773v2?
I bought an Orbi 773 at BestBuy today. To prep, I downloaded the user manual and also the firmware in case the unit I bought isn't up to date (although I assume it will auto-update on initial setup,...

Best thing would be to just keep an eye on the EoS site and download site. For now BE series systems are not EoS or EoL and being worked on in the foreseeable future.

Received this info today from support:
Thanks for contacting NETGEAR Concierge. It was a pleasure speaking with you about NETGEAR’s products and how they can help improve your home WiFi.
We were provided with the following chipset changes, regarding the hardware differences to the 770 series version 2-
Chipset: V1:
IPQ5322 + QCN6274 + QCA8386
Chipset: V2:
IPQ5322 + QCN6422 + QCA8386
So only QCN6274 changed to QCN6422. I have no idea exactly what that part does, does anyone else? Although I did track this down:

Initially the support contact wasn't even aware of a v2 for the 770. Once I made him aware he was able to get a bit more info by reaching out internally. If this following statement from support is correct, this is the status: "The v2 of the 770 is only available in the Asia market at this time. They are still working to finalize the firmware for the NA and EU market. Expect that to take another 2-4 months before v2 hits the NA market and into retail."
I'm still a bit confused on why they'd post firmware for the 773v2 on their USA site (that's supposedly isn't finalized), yet only offer the v2 in the Asia market. Still feels like I'm not getting the full story. That said, I'm thinking I'll just go with the 773v1, that is, unless someone else can determine that chipset part #QCN6422 is worth waiting for.
Thanks in advance!

What region are you located? If USA and and you can't get the v2 anywhere then you'll need to give the v1 a go. v12 FW will come to the v1 series. It's been in beta testing and is much better than v9. Don't know when it will be seen in release. Will try and make sure all is good when it comes to release time.
