Orbi 970 Not resolving IP's
A few weeks after I purchased by Orbi 970 I started having issues with internet dropping constantly and when it is connected it was inconsistent in resolving IPs. I did a full factory reset and the i...

Thanks for your response!
I should have been more specific in my post, LAN side, it is very intermittent connecting to web pages, they load slow or not at all. Same issue on all PC's connected to the orbi.
The ISP modem is a modem/router combo, they provide a WAN IP on port 1 for another router, which the Orbi is on.
The Mfr is Altice model # is GR140IG
I did not factory reset after the FW update, Is that typically done? Also do you have settings and load after a new setup?
The FW is V9.13.1.2 it is currently set to auto update, but I will change that moving forward.

Ok this maybe a ISP issue then. Since you have a router already at the Altice, having another downstream maybe having problems. If Your ISP gateway already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Try this, enable DMZ or IP pass thru on the Altice gateway for the IP address given to the RBR970 while it's in router mode.
If could configured AP mode on the 970 series as well.

I see where you are coming from but I don't believe there is a double NAT issue. The ISP puts there modem/router in bridge mode. Which in this case is providing two WAN IP's.
The first port on the modem is dedicated to the Orbi and separate from the ISP router that has it's own WAN IP.
I've validated this as well.

I'd check that.
Never trust what an ISP says and does. Their automatic response is "blame the router.
altice gr140dg bridge mode - Google Search
I assume that this is the model number. I can't find GR140IG.

The only way I know how to verify it, which I have checked is that on my orbi I'm getting a WAN IP number consistent with what is typical.
I've it wasn't in bridge mode the WAN # would like like a LAN# provided by the modem. This was the case when they first set up my fiber, they told me it was in bridge mode and I was having issues with my kids XBOX, I went to check the WAN IP and it was something like 192.168.1.X. I called the ISP and they confirmed it was not in bridge mode, they reconfigured on there end and when I checked the WAN on the orbi it was 47.x.x.x consistent with Typical WAN IPs.

Ok, if thats the case and you are sure that the Altice is in bridge mode, test the Orbi and Alice out with out the other router being online or connected to the Alice.
Also are you using IPv6 on the RBR at all or is that disabled?
