The only way I know how to verify it, which I have checked is that on my orbi I'm getting a WAN IP number consistent with what is typical.
I've it wasn't in bridge mode the WAN # would like like a LAN# provided by the modem. This was the case when they first set up my fiber, they told me it was in bridge mode and I was having issues with my kids XBOX, I went to check the WAN IP and it was something like 192.168.1.X. I called the ISP and they confirmed it was not in bridge mode, they reconfigured on there end and when I checked the WAN on the orbi it was 47.x.x.x consistent with Typical WAN IPs.
