Orbi 970 Series Quad-band WiFi 7 Mesh

I am in the process of setting up a new home network and plan to use the Orbi 970 mesh system with 3 satellites.  My plan is as follows:

- Router in the basement connected to the Optical Network Terminal via 10 Gig Internet Port

- Connect router to multi-gig switch via 10 Gbps Ethernet Port

- Run Cat 6 ethernet to various parts of the house for TVs etc

- Run Cat 6 ethernet to 2 of the 3 satellites to create a wired backhaul connection

- 3rd satellite will connect wirelessly

Questions (if I may):

(1)  Can I connect the switch to the 10 Gbps Ethernet Port then have things like TVs connected to the switch alongside the satellites?  Or does the switch for the TVs need to be connected to the router via 1 of the 4, 2.5Gbps ethernet ports?  Then having a separate switch to facility the satellites wired backhaul connection via the 10Gbps port

(2) Will a combination of wired and wireless satellites work?

(3) Please can someone recommend compatible Netgear switches for the above configuration?

Many thanks in advance for any help or suggestions

You can connect a switch behind the RBR and connect other Ethernet devices along with the RBS if you choose too.

    Yes.

XS505M and GS110MX work great with the 9 series. I have these two. MS105(2.5Gb Non managed)

Thanks FURRYe38 for your rapid response.

      Just so I understand;

      (1) I will only need 1 switch and you suggest connecting it behind the RBR via the 10Gbps port?

      (2) Having the RBS connected to the same switch as other ethernet devices will *not* impact the stability of the RBS

Thanks for the switch suggestions, much appreciated!

Correct. I actually have two connected behind my RBR. One is a 1Gb 24 port for the main house network. The other is connected behind the RBR for the RBS ethernet connections and also support my DISH satellite TV service devices.
