ORBI RBE 971 Constant Disconnects

It seems that I am not the only one who is having this issue. 4 month old RBE971 purchased from Amazon was working fine until about a week ago. Now, suddenly pages do not load, or they load with no CSS. Speedtests fail, wifi and wired just do not work. I have disabled the 1 satellite I have, disabled any logging, mac filtering, changed dns provider to google and even went as far to swap out my Spectrum modem thinking it was an issue on their end. I did notice the unit seems to get quite hot when this is happening and if I turn it off for 10 minutes (unplug) and then plug it back in. It will work normally again for about 10 minutes. 

 

Is there an issue with heat with these units? I didnt spend $1200 to find I cant use it anymore and I am outside the return window for Amazon.

 

What can we do?

  • What brand and model# ISP modem is being used? 

     

    Try a USB Fan on top of the RBR unit? 

     

    Is Armor, Guest Network, IPv6, SPC or Traffic Meter enabled on the RBR? 

     

    Please open a support ticked with NG support regarding this.

      Yes, guest network, IPv6 Traffic Meter are all disabled. I will open a support ticket with them.

    The RBE971 is works optimally when placed in a well ventilated area. I you do not mind me asking, where do you have your RBE971 located?
