RBE971 additional Access Points
Hi, I need to extend my WiFi coverage to some far areas, not reachable through the Current mesh setup: one RBE971 + 2 Satellites.
Which are the suggested wired Access Points to use (e..g. WAX 620 or similar)?
Thank you
Sergio
You can wire in the EAX80. If its far enough away, your devices own roaming protocol will work fine and you can name them the same. Just set it up in access point mode and make sure the wireless channels used aren't the same to prevent interference.

The obvious solution is more RBE970 satellites. WiFi7, 6GHz frequency, total seamless roaming. But..... $900 each!
The Netgear EAX80 ($277 on Amazon) has been described as having "seamless smart roaming". it is WiFi6 (802.11ax).
This review from Tom's seems skeptical about the seamless roaming claim:

Agree: RBE970 would indeed be a price overkill.
But EAX80 is a non wire-able range extender and I'm afraid I can't guarantee any range overlap with the rest of the mesh system. I need to go for a good access point more than a range extender.
Thank you
