Orbi 970 startup issues with 4 or 5 satellites
We purchased an Orbi 970 with 3 satellite and added 4 all connected through a netgear 10g ethernet switch. We noticed some issues on boot up where they may boot up as wireless, or stuck in config sy...

Have you had any updates at all. I've come to the conclusion that anything over 4 BRS and the system becomes unstable and unreliable (regardless of if the backhaul is wired or wireless). I have an expensive paper weight at present and an area in my home with no wifi.

Not at this time. NG is working and reviewing this as there seems to be others noticing this issue.
Will have to wait for NG to get this fixed.
Not sure if you can return the 5th RBS and if not, I'd probably turn OFF the 5th RBS and wait for NG to resolve this. Can submit a support ticket as well which I would do if you haven't already.

Yes I have turned it off. Not sure if I can return it either but I'd want to return the entire mesh if it came to that. Pretty sad given how it is being marketed at present.
NG need to put something out there, and make it very visible, that there is a 4 RBS limitation at present. It's way too expensive to get the bad reviews it will otherwise.

I now actually have a direct email to a firmware engineer after months of trying to convince their support people that they have a problem. He told me that fixing this is their number 1 priority right now. So a fix at some point will be coming. How long I don’t know. My guess would be a month. But that is just my firmware programming experience. Might be two or more with netgears procedure bureaucracy.

Ok well half the battle is it being acknowledged as a problem.!
I'd be grateful if you could pass on any updates you have and if this firmware engineer needs any more test evidence, or beta test sites, feel free to pass on my details.
