RBE970 and Satellites Rebooting Randomly?
I have an RBE970 and two 971s. Firmware is V9.12.5.3_1.3.24 They seem to be working well with the exception of random reboots. Just did it again, I am not sure of the periodicity. One...

Well when using Static IP addresses, they should be out side of the host routers DHCP IP address pool and set ON the device, and no IP address reservations should be set on the host router, you can't do both at the same time. RBS would need to be dynamic and let them get an IP address inside the DHCP IP address pool on the host router, .125 to .175.
Seems like there maybe a configuration issue here that maybe causing problems, that I'm hoping we can help with. So yes, please try the alternative Static IP address on the RBR.
The Not Recommended text is mostly for the inexperienced user which may not fully understand how to setup a Static IP address configuration on Orbi systems and for ease of setup for those users, Dynamic is recommended. I've been using Static for years with out issues with Orbi systems. One reason is that the IP address I need to get to the RBR remains the same vs Dynamic, could change at the host router.
I have all logs enabled on mine accept for VPN.
Also check the system uptime on the RBRs debug page to compare with with what is seen on the RBR main web page under Advanced tab/Show Stats. Look at the WAN port and it's UpTime there. They should match if the RBR is truely rebooting. If the WAN port up time is shorter than the debug system uptime, then the RBR isn't crashing or rebooting, the WAN port is going up and down. Something I've noticed that if you happen to disconnect or reboot the ISP modem or host router, the WAN port up time resets, but the system uptime remains running and doesn't reset in this condition. We'll need to check and compare these.

Good deal. Will change that to fully static. I wonder if there is a similar setting for the RBSs? I cant seem to find it. Will change now and see if there is a behavior change. Will report back.

The RBS don't have a IP address configuration that users can change, there all automatic and DHCP.
Here is how I have my 970 system configured for AP mode:
CAX80 modem mode>WAN Port RS600 router mode 192.168.1.1 (WiFi disabled, DHCP Pool set for 192.168.1.100 to .150)10Gb LAN Port<>WAN Port RBR971 AP mode (Static IP address set for 192.168.1.97, Default SNM, GW 192.168.1.1, IPv4 DNS Quad 9
Only using one RBS at the moment as I'm testing some Managed switch configurations with the RBS. RBS is currently wireless connected to the RBR and getting Dynamic DHCP IP address thru RBR from RS host router.
