Access Control Keeps Resetting to "On" By Itself
My Router is a "Nighthawk® Tri-Band AX8 RAX78" from Costco. The router firmware version is V1.0.3.92 .
After I turned off "Access Control" by unchecking the check box "Turn on Access Control" and then click the "Apply" button, "Access Control" would stay off for half a day, and then it would turn itself on without anyone touching the settings. All my wired connections are block.
I have repeated this several times now. If this keeps repeating, I am not sure if I can keep it.

Knowing nothing, I'd try a settings reset and then a manual
reconfiguration. If the problem persisted, and I had time to kill, then
I might repeat with a different/older firmware version.> [...] If this keeps repeating, I am not sure if I can keep it.
If it persists in spontaneously reconfiguring itself in undesirable
ways, and Netgear support does nothing helpful, then I'd certainly shed
the thing.- tan00001Tutor
Now I am noticing a pattern: whenever a new device is added, the Access Control would turn itself on.
The firmware version is still V1.0.3.92.
If I leave Access Control on, it would block a bunch of my connections by default, If I select all and click "Allow", it would always leave the first few as "Blocked". If I select the "Blocked" ones and then click "Allow", it would go back to the default behavior and block bunch of my connections again.
Does Netgear even test these thinks before releasing your software?

Thanks. This is the only setting that I have noticed that has been turning itself on spontaneously because frankly I have not really had the need to change any other settings yet. When it is off, everything seems to work okay so far.
