AX1600 - new out of box - default password not working

just opened a new AX1600 (RAX5) connected the nighthawk app...and the default admin password is not working for the router. also connected to 192.168.1.1 - same issue.

I am using the 'admin' user name and all lower case 'password'.

connected to wifi no problem, with ethernet connection to the modem. 

I am tried both the default and 5G networks.  hard reset has not fixed it.

    So if you press the reset button in back for 15 seconds then release and then connect one ethernet PC to the back of the router, and naviate to 192.168.1.1 in a web browser, can you get to the setup wizard at the bottom of the page and select don't have a mobile device then proceed to walk thru the set up wizard here? 

     

    Brand and model# of the ISP modem the router is connected too?

    also try a different browser when you try and log in through the GUI
