AX1800 model RAX10 cannot connect wireless

Purchased the device earlier today.  Log on with an Ethernet connector and configured it.  There is an internet connection with the hard wired cable.  It will not access via wireless.  When logged in directly to the device, everything looks normal to me.  Right now, with a cable connected, all the display LEDs are lit. Three turn off regularly for brief periods then right back on again.

When I try to go to Netgear Chat, it persists in giving me invalid pages.

What might I try to get the wireless working?

What will not "access via wireless"?

Do you mean that your wifi devices will not connect to the RAX10?

    What happens when you try?

    What about the wifi LED?

What  modem/gateway/ONT connects the router to the Internet?

  • I cannot find a phone number to call for help.  The Chat button in the netgear web site won’t work for me.  I am frustrated.

There are so many steps and so many options, I suspect this cannot be described to the point that it can be diagnosed remotely.

In essence:  the Synology wireless router configured with SSID bkhome works fine, both as wireless and with hard connect.  Works with phones and television.

The new Netgear AX1800 model RAX10, works when cabled to my computer.  Go through all the setups.

    Log on with this http://www.routerlogin.net

Logged on to the router, the BASIC page shows internet not connected.  But at the same time I can visit internet pages.  It states Not Connected, but it is.  It will not work wireless.  I made a screen capture, wiped out the password, and showed it.  This post is being made in the condition shown in the image.

I have a tp-link router that is doing essentially the same thing.  Works hard cabled to computer, good internet.  Disconnect computer cable, connected wireless, no internet.

Now, how to find someone to visit my house and fix the problem.

Are you saying that you have added the RAX10 to the Synology wireless router?

Is that added to the same network? You can't just keep piling router on router.

Do that and you end up with network hell.

That's not something that Netgear can help with. Your ISP might be a better bet.

Step back and work out what you need one step at a time. Mostly it is simply a case of using a modem then one router. Anything else just gets in the way.
