AX3000 rax35

I have an RAX35 AX3000 router. I am having issues where every day it just decides to stop communicating with my modem. When I reboot the router and modem. First modem until all lights are on and then router. I am not able to reconnect to the modem through the router. If I remove the router and just hardwire straight to the modem I get internet just fine.
Once I am finally able to connect to the router it makes me go through the initialization and setup steps every time.
WTF is going on? I cannot find RAX35 in the recommended options for model but I assure that is what it says not rax40. Please give guidance.

I should also add when the wifi drops the hard wired connections continue to work. I am unable to connect to the router though and when I reboot the router I lose connection to the internet via hardwired devices as well.

  • I was finally able to get it to connect to my PC last night and rollback the firmware from 1.0.3.80 to 1.0.3.62. It renamed my network name and default password. Was working last night and then this morning wireless was blanked out again.
  • I have noticed that I think the router is actually freezing up and not just dropping wifi. when the dropped wifi happens and I unplug an connected ethernet cable the light does not turn off on that port.

PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS PILE OF STEAMY CRAP!!!!

I have had the same issue recently, and the model shows up exactly as yours.  This morning my iPad connected fine; however, upon returning home from errands, it wouldn't connect due to an incorrect password.  My Galaxy S10 also had the same issue, so I rebooted the router and all is fine.  I have not rolled back the firmware, so I'm curious as to whether there is a bug in the firmware, as one change I made 2 weeks ago was to enable IP6 on the WAN port through Spectrum.  If there is an issue with IP6 on the WAN side, then there may be a glitch in the firmware.
