AX5400 Router to modem not connecting

I have a older Nighthawk in use right now, I am trying to connect my new AX5400 and will not connect to the ISP modem. (red light is still on) What direction should I look for. Thanks in advance for any sugestions.

  • Start by looking up the actual product number on the bottom of the router.  AX5400 is a marketing claim that applies to a host of different products.

When replacing user equipment, it is customary to reboot the ISP device (modem) and then power up the user device.

  • What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
