BT Fibre Using RAX80

Hi

I have just had BT fibre installed to my house and I am looking to continue to use my RAX80 rather than the smart hub supplied by BT but I have no idea how to configure this as it needs to use WAN

Can anyone advise?

Thanks for your help

BT sells everything as "fibre". So what has it actually delivered to you?

      • Sadly, this still leaves room for confusion.

BT Full Fibre 900 says it is fibre to the premises.

Full Fibre | FTTP Broadband | Fibre to the Premises | BT

But the SmartHub 2 also claims to be a DSL modem/router:

This leaves us guessing as to how the SmartHub 2 connects to the Internet.

Do you connect through a WAN port on the back? In its usual in inimitable style, BT does not provide a picture of the working end of the thing.

If it is just a WAN thing, then ask BT for the details you need to feed into the router to connect it, and use the RAX80 instead. I'm afraid there are too many login routines for anyone here to keep track of them. That's BT's job.

You may find more BT users over on the BT Forum than there are here:
