My power has gone off a couple of times in the past and is being turned off tomorrow for scheduled maintenance.
every time the router is turned off and then back on i have to call my service provider to re configure and it takes ages to get the settings right.

Not much to go on.
What NG product and model are you referring too?

its a Netgear nighthawk AX1800 - model RAX10, the power doesn't go off often, I've had electrical works done at my home where the main switch had to be turned off.
I'm just wondering if there's a way to save my configuration settings so it just reboots itself in the event the power does go off in the future.

What modem is it connected to?
It shouldn't require "reconfiguration" after a power failure/reboot cycle.
You can make backups but again, it shouldn't need to everytime its powered on/off.

If you're power is going off so much, why not invest in a backup power supply?
Its a good way to protect your device from power surge issues.
Also, what device is it? a model helps
