Connection issue
I have a Nighthawk 6 E router and a Nighthawk X6 AC2200 extender and lately the extender has been dropping the internet connection from the router at least once a week and I have to unplug the extender and plug it back in for the connection to work again. Has anybody else had this problem and can anyone tell me to to fix this problem.

Let me give the correct data for my router and extender, my router is a Nighthawk AX11000 Tri-Band WiFi Router (RAX200) and the Extender is a AC2200 Tri-Band WiFi Range Extender (EX7700). Additional information is my service provider is COX and I am using their Gigbit service. I switch out my cat5 cable and are now using Cat6 cables. Sorry about the mistake.

A couple of questions.
Upstream of your RAX200 is a COX modem/gateway. What is the brand name and model number of that device?
The connection between your RAX200 and your extender, is it via Wi-Fi or is it via Ethernet cable?

The Modem is a ARRIS: SURFboard SBG 8300 and the extender is connected by WI-FI.
