Erratic performance of 2.4mHz Wi-fi channel in RAX50
I am running the Netgear Nighthawk RAX50. By matter of choice I have separate SSID's for 2.4 and 5 MHz. It was working fine for months. We have a number of Smart home devices that connect at 2.4. Several of them still connect, and work just fine.
In the last few weeks several devices have failed to connect or reconnect to the 2.4 frequency. IOS devices connect but can't access the WAN. Setting to manual DNS helped a few times, but not consistently.
Upgrading to firmware V1.0.3.96_2.0.59 has not helped.
Nothing in the log shows what's happening.
What could cause the 2.4mHz frequence to go bonkers when we didn't change anything?

Someone else broadcasting on that frequency?
Have you tried changing which wireless channel you broadcast on?

Channel was set to auto.
I changed to channel 6 and it didn't help. Then I changed to channel 1 and it didn't help. Printer was broadcasting on 6 but that was it. We live in a standalone house far from neighbors so there is almost no interference.
What modem/gateway do you have?
a couple things you can try.
1. downgrade the firmware. Maybe the newer firmware introducted a bug.
2. factory reset. maybe an old setting is causing an issue. a factory reset/reinstall can sometimes fix that
