everyday my nighthawk ax 12 drops internet speeds to 20mbps
first 3 days called for tech support and everytime we just have to reboot the router

Well a bit more info is needed.
1. firmware on the router?
2. What modem are you using?
3. Is it happening over wireless and what band? Or is it happening over wired? Or both
4. Is it happening to all devices or just one?
5. Are you using QoS?
6. What speeds do you pay for? What do you get hardwired to the modem? To the router?
7. Did this happen with your old router at all?

firmware is v1.0.1.8_1.0.39 for RAX200
modem is a cm1200
yes both over the wireless and connected to wired
yes all devices
yes when login to the nighthawk routerlogin and with speedtest.net
we pay for 300 and yes we have no problem with the old router and connected to the modem was just too slow
I've noticed that the newer RAX devices firmware has been more beta than final version. I'd try reinstalling the firmware, factory resetting it, and starting back at stock. They seem to have issues whenever updates are done.
If that doesnt help,you can try downgrading a version on the firmware.
