Expect wifi speed for Nighthawk AX4
I have a Nighthawk AX4 model RAX40 router, purchased June 2023. I'm getting the expected 250mbps speed over ethernet. But even when my laptop is right next to the router, I'm getting 45mbps over wifi. My nearest neighbor is about 100 yards away so I'm not expecting any channel interference.
I know wifi will be slower than ethernet but is the 45mbps expected in this case?
Depends, what wireless device do you have?
What does the wireless device support for connectivity between itself and the wifi signal?
Is it connecting to a 2.4 or 5Ghz signal?
Compare speed test results on other wifi devices.

Wifi was 2.4GHz. I changed to 5 and the speed jumped up to 250mbps. Nice. Thanks very much.
Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
