Getting random ping spikes
I just got a AX6000 WiFi Cable Modem Router (CAX80) yesterday and have been getting constant ping spikes in games and such every 30-45 seconds ever since. I am running on firmware v2.1.3.5. I replaced my default Xfi Gateway from Xfinity with this but was having no issues beforehand using the other modem/router combo. When going to 192.168.1.1 in my web browser and looking at my Netgear panel it is showing my cable connection status as poor. When I go into the diagnostic for it everything is green apart from my upstream status which is showing red. I should also add that I am using the same coax cable and ethernet cables that I was using previously so the only thing that has changed is the router/modem itself. Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.
