Already tried this, that doesn’t help me, because I would need to make the SSID the same on the new router and the device seems to hold to the weak signal from the other AP and switching to the new one. That’s why I wanted to do bridge mode hard wired, because the current bridge mode is only available in wireless mode.

The documented bridge mode does make - in my understanding - the second RAX120 a wireless client to allow the wired (only!) devices over wireless to the primary RAX120. Unless I'm wrong, there is no concurrent Wireless Access Point mode available.

Wireless Access Point is a bridge Ethernet <-> WiFi. You should be able to configure any SSID on the second device as you want. Or does Netgear still refuse putting up SmartConnect with the same SSID on the 2.4 and 5 GHz radios in AP mode?

Last but not least, I have no idea if this config does make a Mesh (supporting the essential 802.11r and 802.11v features) in AP and router mode.
