How to set up Nighthawk AX5400 RAX50 w/ U-Verse BGW210?
I just bought the Nighthawk AX5400 RAX50 because of the terribly slow wi-fi I am experiencing in my house. However, before it arrives, I wanted to make sure I completely understand the set-up process with a U-Verse BGW210. I hear these things can be a headache!
Thank you for you help!

The BGW210 is a modem/router combo device.
meaning it has its own routing built in.
It causes a double nat.
options? (only use 1)
1. put the BGW210 in modem only/passthrough mode. theres plenty of guides on google/reddit from users doing this.
2. put the Netgear's IP address into the bgw210's DMZ
3. Put the netgear into access point mode
Any of these options will fix the double nat. Some will say disable the BGW210's wifi to prevent interference. You can do this or you can simply make sure they're on different channels to prevent the interference. That allows you to offload some of the wifi devices to the BGW if you'd like or even to just use as backup.
- I found this tutorial linked below. It is using the Orbi as an access point.
Do these directions seem to be correct in your opinion?
https://forums.att.com/conversations/att-internet-equipment/how-to-connect-orbi-wifi-to-an-att-modem/5f2ace04917fbb7b950106e6?amp;wtExtndSource=20210429183921_AT&source=ESSZ0SSPR00facsEM&wtExtndSource=20210518220621_ATThat option will work. It puts the orbi in access point mode which disables some features.
