I need help
Hi, I believe I have the netgear nighthawk rax120
I have mediacoms modem don’t have the name of that one. The router is in bridge mode because I put it there so I could connect two routers but I couldn’t figure that out so I was wanting to put it back to router mode but it doesn’t let me back in because I can’t connect to the internet. Also no I did not factory reset it I don’t know how to. Wired devices don’t really drop it’s just when my internet lags it lags to and my internet has been laggy for 2 and a half years. Also I heard this thing about port forwarding so I have some on the devices that I use the most but how do I know if it working I mean people say it stops most of the lag but I still lag like crazy.

Wire connect a PC to the router and factory reset the router using the back push pin button. Hold it in for 10 seconds then let go. Then log in to routerlogin.com or 192.168.1.1 using a wired PC and web browser and walk thru the setup wizard. Be sure write down all important information for safe keeping later on.
- Tanner8230AspirantHi, so my router is stuck in bridge mode, I’ve tried everything can someone maybe help me out? Also I pay for 1 gbps and my internet is constantly constantly constantly lagging and dropping any suggestions on that to?
You really didn't give us much to go off.
1. what router do you have?
2. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
3. why is the router in bridge mode?
4. did you try factory resetting to get out of bridge mode?
5. Your connection is dropping. Do wired devices drop? Just wireless? What actual error does it give you? Does it say "connected, no internet"? Does the wifi stop broadcasting at all? Does it broadcast but devices can't connect? Details are key.
- Tanner8230AspirantI don’t see a reset button
Look in back of the router where all the plug ports are at. Look for a little hole marked "Reset". Use a paper clip or a small pin to push this button. You should feel a bump when you push in. Hold for 10 seconds then release.
Look at the online user manual for your router to see where this reset button is if you need additional help and information.
