IP configuration failure - RAX40
Model Version AX3000, OS=Windows 10 After exactly one year of problem-free operation, router just stopped connecting to the internet. Confirmed that problem was with router by connecting modem directly to computer and by installing old router, which worked. Local network functions but router will not connect to the internet after power cycling the router - several times. Attempts to reinstall using Nighthawk software unsuccessful. Would not connect.

1. What modem do you have?
2. what firmware is on the router?
try the following.
Factory reset the router. Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
Once its fully reset and rebooted, power it off.
Power off the modem and disconnect all cables from both (even coax)
The connect coax back to the modem, power it on, and wait a few minutes for it to fully boot.
then connect the router to the modem and power the router on.
give it a few minutes, then attempt a new setup.

Thanks, that worked. I had it set up with separate 2.4 ghz and 5.0 ghz connections and not sure how to get that back, but o.k. with 2.4-5-G setup I think.
