Just got a RAX45 to try out. Works great when AX mode is off. But turning on AX mode, then causes my PC not to be recognized anymore. It connects but without internet. Funny thing is. I also a have a GUEST configuration which goes through a TP-Link repeater and here I can get internet. So repeater recognized signal but PC doesn't? What is it about AX that it wont connect to an AC laptop? ThanksRouter (Nighthawk RAX50) looses dhcp range after reboot
I have setup the dhcp range from my router from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.200 . After that i have setup "address reservation" for several devices outside this dhcp range (eg 192.168.1.201). After reboot the dhcp range is put back to 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.255 and my devices have received a random ip address. Have i done something wrong ...or is something wrong with the router? Thanks in advance.Router refuses to hand out IP v6
Trying to get this goofy router to hand off an IPv6 address to my devices and it refuses.. It says it can’t get one from rhe ISP modem which is a crock because I had been able to have ip v6 on a older Apple built router and it’s older than this thing. Any suggestions?5Ghz wifi not working
Hi all, Im having an issue with AX6000 router. Couple of days ago my 5ghz wifi network suddenly disappeared, i tried rebooting the router but it didn't help. I've reached out to customer support and tried following troubleshooting steps: - Reseting the router to factory settings - Renaming wifi connection - Downgrading firmware and upgrading it back - Changing wifi channels - Enabled 5ghz guest network with & without security - Result: "Cant connect to this network" None of those helped. Just few moments ago i performed hard reset of the router and even though the network is now visible my devices connect to it for a brief moment and then the connection is dropped. Before hard reset i was able to connect to network from my phone but there was "no internet connection" while my laptops were either unable to connect "Cant connect to this network" or it was not visible to the laptops at all. Current firmware is: v1.0.10.140 Is there anything else i can try?Nighthawk AX5 RAX30 Wifi Stopped working however Ethernet is fine
Hey all. As of last night our wifi stopped working entirely. However, ethernet devices connected work correctly. I only use this as a WiFi router, since we have a main modem, and it taps internet for the WiFi through that. The ethernet ports on the router work correctly - My computer has internet through the nighthawk right now - However, the WiFi doesn't work at all. The networks are there on wifi devices such as phone etc, however there is zero speed to it. At all. Wifi analytics on the netgear app show there is something being broadcasted, and the 2.4/5g lights on the router are lighting up. Connecting anything to them yields nothing. Actually, going to a webpage sometimes will say I need to "Sign in to the network" like it's hotel Wifi. To make things worse, connecting directly to it through the local gateway on ethernet is slow! It takes up to 7 seconds to get to the next page, or load the home page. Things tried: Updating firmware, hitting the tiny reset button for 30 seconds to fully reset to default, however nothing works. I spent a couple hundred on this thing and I'd love to know if there's a fix for it!AX6600 Rax70 once connect Seagate 8TB HDD for Readyshare, router reboot itself constantly
I have a Nighthawk AX6600 Rax70, used without any issue at all, however, whenever i connect a hard drive to its usb3 port (HDD has its own power cable), tried Seagate 3TB, Seagate 8TB, it always constantly disconnect itself, usually every hour will internet completely down, and reboot itself.R6700AX Drops Kindle Fire 10gen Internet Connection
Newly installed AX1800 Wifi6 R6700AX (latest software as of 04/13/24) connection to an Amazon Kindle Fire 9-10gen (OS 7.3.2.9) is unsuccessful or inconsistant. Either the Kindle continously cycles trying to connect to the router and bounces between "connecting" and "saved" with no connection. On other occasions, the Kindle does connect, but after a few minutes, drops the connection with the message "no internet" then after a minute reconnects, but will continously drop and reconnect. When I look at the Netgear app, it show the Kindle as a connected device although if I turn off the Kindle and do a refresh on the Netgear app, it still show up as a connected device. The issue stays the same whether SID is broadcasted or not. All other devices, Amazon TV, Roku TV and streaming stick, TCL TV, and cell phones all connect and work properly. If I replace the AX1800 with my old Netgear N300/WPR200 router, all works well, just slower. Note that I am using the same SID name, password and security encryption on both Netgear devices but only have had one online and powered on at the same time. If I go with the SID and password that came as the default for the Netgear AX1800 device, I have the same issue with my Kindle. Any ideas?Nighthawk AX2400
I've called tech support and they were no help, but does anyone know how or what setting to use to make my router automatically reconnect to my modem? Everytime my net goes down I have to drive over there and reboot my router! The router I have at home automatically connects to the modem when electricity comes back on or a wifi outage. Someone help please!! Thank you!
