rax45 AX mode will not connect to my AC mode Windows 11 PC

Just got a RAX45 to try out.  Works great when AX mode is off.  But turning on AX mode, then causes my PC not to be recognized anymore.  It connects but without internet.  Funny thing is. I also a have a GUEST configuration which goes through a TP-Link repeater and here I can get internet.  So repeater recognized signal but PC doesn't?

What is it about AX that it wont connect to an AC laptop?

Thanks

A better question is why won't your laptop computer connect to the AX Wi-Fi signal.  The router does not do the connecting.  Your RAX45 broadcasts a Wi-Fi signal.  It is up to the device, in your case a laptop computer, to negotiate the connection.

The following reference page will help you to better understand Wi-Fi and the various flavors and limitations.

After the introduction, chapters 1-3 are a good overview.  Chapter 11 goes in to more detail on Wi-Fi 6.

The page is a reference document with a lot of material.  Way too much to absorb at one reading.  Pick and choose your subjects.
