My Xbox will not stay on port 3074 and performs horrible online. I have tried port forwarding but it didn’t solve anything. I can get it on to port 3074 but when I go back into settings it switches to a different port by itself.

Why do you want it on port 3074? maybe going over all whats going on and why you're attempting to do this might help? It might not be an issue that needs port forwarding. Firmware is V1.0.4.46_10.1.63 and I have spoken to Microsoft and my internet provider and they both mentioned port forwarding.

The online performance has been really bad, basically unplayable. I don’t have it connected to a modem.

the router is running off something. Its hooked to something. Whats it hooked to? what speeds do you pay for?What speeds do you get hardwired into the router?Is your xbox hardwired in or wireless?
