Nighthawk AX 12 model RAX120 wifi router fiber optic connection.
I have continual wifi drops, 10-30 per hour. Streaming TV is a joke. I bought my original wifi router 5-3-2022. It did have issues, got way to hot, even to touch. Warranty replacement 6-1-2022 by Netgear. I though score, no! It does the same as the first. Drops wifi signal several time per hour. Anyone have any suggestion. I did try to update the firmware today. Kind of help for a hour or so then back to the same game. I do get great speed up and down.
I am open to any help.

- microchip8MasterSounds like it's overheating. I'd let a small cheap USB fan blow at it or a laptop cooler underneath
If that doesn't help, we'll go to troubleshooting- OldtomeGuide
It is overheating. It has a cheap fan inside the unit but it never works.
Thanks for the reply.

Hello,
The overheating problem is mentioned in the following thread: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Routers-with-WiFi-6-AX/RAX120-V2-Constant-Random-Reboots/td-p/2176753
The fan can be turned on manually by visiting http://www.routerlogin.net/debug.htm and clicking "Always enable fan" (also after any reboot or power up). Unfortunately running the internal fan is not enough. Some of us have resorted to placing the router on laptop cooling pads or over external fans to improve the airflow. These workarounds help but do not entirely solve the problem
