Hello all! Got a message that the firmware needs updatiing. Logged to the extender and ran the firmware check but it keeps timing out. Is the server or website down? The main router firmware is up to date. Thanks!

You can manually update the firmware. go to negear.com/support/ and you can download the firmware. extract it. Then manually install it. I find this method to be the safest for updating firmware, I'd also encourage you to do it over a hardwired connect for best results.

Makule, perhaps the Netgear Status Page, which “provides a real-time status for key router operations,” might be helpful?

  Good tip! All operational and no incidents reported. I hope someone else had this happen to them and if they had a solution.
