RAX120 doesn't reconnect in wireless bridge mode
I have a RAX120 which I’m using in a wireless bridge mode to connect a bunch of computers to the main router (RT-AX88U).
it works fine until the main router reboots. If it loses connection to the main router it never tries to reconnect to the wireless network leaving all the computers disconnected from the network.
the only solution appears to be to reboot the RAX120 and then it reconnects to the main network
is this a known firmware bug? It’s repeatable 100% of the time. Is there a workaround or a fix for it? Very frustrating that’s netgear doesn’t even do basic testing on its products.
Thanks for the note. Yes it’s using a static IP address in the wireless bridge mode. I’m only using the 5Ghz channel with PMF disabled.
anyways I was able to resolve it by downgrading to the 1.0.x series firmware. I tried both the 1.0.1.108 and then finally the 1.0.2.136 and they both work awesome. No drop connection drops when the main router reboots.
the 1.2.x series firmware is total **bleep**E for using as a wireless bridge.

The RAX120 is on the most recent firmware release, correct? v1.2.10.56

Just an idle thought, does the RAX120 have an IP address "assigned" in the Asus router configuration?
