RAX120 dropping 5Ghz randomly
Hi everyone,
I installed recently my new AX12 RAX120 router (in access point only mode) on my network. Performance wise it's perfect but I encountered a very annoying problem recently : randomly (but generaly when I use my VR Headset for a few hours, meaning using wifi6 5G SSID quite heavilly), the 5G signal just stops from being sent by the Nighthawk access point. I double checked with different devices, the SSID is completely gone.
To restore connectivity I do have to reboot the Nighthawk router.
I'm using a 80Mhz wide channel (main channel number is 48) that is not using DFS (so the issue cannot come from a nearby radar).
I'm using the latest available firmware (v1.2.3.28). Is it a known bug/issue and more importantly, is there a fix for this?
Thanks in advance for your insights.

If you downgrade the firmware, does the problem go away?
did not tried a downgrade because it's a new device that came with the latest firmware installed. I'm not sure if older firmwares are still available to download. If that's the case, is there a specific version that is supposed to be more stable than others?

I recently purchased 2 of these routers for both of my facilities. Both came ith firmware 24 and automatically upgraded to lates firmware thru the installation to 28. I have been on the phone with Netgear, they tried to downgrade the firmware but for some reason it will keep going back to 28. SO they deiced to install Beta firmware which is still just trash. I keep getting routers crashing both 2.4 and 5 Ghz radios. It will reboot itself roughly every hour. In the mean time you can not access the network for about 5 minutes. I just do not understand how can netgear sell this unit as highened unit and we waste our money. Yesterday I went to Bestbuy they replaced one of the RAX120 I brought it back and installed now the 3rd unit is exactly same problem. Netgear still has no solution. It looks like I have to trash both of these routers and replace them with another brand. DO any of you have recomendation, Bestbuy say ASUS routers are good bu I would appreciate any help since I think Netgear is out of my shop in the next day or so. I wasted now 2 weeks and at least 20 hours of my time.
I'm currently struggling with netgear support about these reboots.... also tried the beta firmware without success... I think I will simply ask for a refund or a replacement with another model at this point.
