RAX120 not working with HBOMax on Sony Bravia TV

So this is a first.. I have a Netgear RAX120 Router that has been epic throughout the pandemic and works throughout my house without issue. I needed to change my ISP provider ($$$) to Verizon Fios, and only use their internet service. With the change there were some headaches, but most have been worked through except one. When attempting to stream HBOMax or Hulu on my Sony Bravia TV, both come back with a connection issue. All other apps (Netflix, YoutubeTV....) stream without issue. Attempted to uninstall the apps and reinstall, but no luck. Strangely, only the Verizon provided router is able to work with these apps... Would rather not use the Verizon provided router as the RAX120 is more consistent with performance. Any thoughts idea what could be "blocking" HBO or Hulu? HBOMax works on my laptop using the RAX120, but its not an app version of the HBO.

Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

    Couple of options,
    1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
    2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

    3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

    Try option #2 first...

Furreye38, thanks for the response... One thing I forgot to mention was I connected directly to the FIOS OnT and was not using the router Verizon provided. Doing that everything worked except HBO and HULU.... But when I connected the Verizon router back to the OnT, the HBO and HULU worked along with everything else.

        do you have IPv6 enabled?

        Or any parental controls?

Try a different DNS Server. Here's a few. Also remember to change the ipv6 dns server if ipv6 is enabled.
        CloudFlare
        IPv4: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
        IPv6: 2606:4700:4700:0:0:0:0:1111 and 2606:4700:4700:0:0:0:0:1001
        GoogleDNS
        IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
        IPv6: 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:0:8888 and 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:0:8844
