RAX20 - some systems can't connect to wifi, some can

I've just got this router. I'm on firmware version V1.0.10.110_2.0.72.

My phone (android) and work computer (mac) can connect to my wifi just fine, and can see my personal desktop (windows) and my NAS on ethernet with no problems.

However, my sister's laptop and my laptop can't properly connect (both windows). For either laptop, it shows a notification that it's connected to the wifi but there's no internet, and they're also unable to see any other systems on the network.

The devices report that they are getting IP addresses assigned, and if I look on the router I can see they agree:

So, despite the fact that my phone can get to the internet or the NAS just fine, my laptop "Horus" cannot! It also can't ping any other addresses on the network. This is despite the fact that it correctly says the name of the network it's connected to, even including the brand and model of the router!

I don't believe there's anything wrong with either laptop. We've both been able to connect to and use other wifi networks with no problems.

Any ideas?

    AHA!

It turns out the problem was just that the access controls were set to block all new devices! After switching that off, and granting access, everything works fine.

I'm not sure what the point is in having that default to block new devices (I don't remember switching it on myself). I mean, the wifi is already password protected, right?
