RAX200 or CM1150 Internet Connectivity Issues

To whom it may concern:

I purchased the RAX200 and CM1150 for better speeds and Wifi capablities around the house.  I am having issues now with internet connection going in and out.  It happens a lot with my wife's phone and my phone (Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S8 respectfully).

Could this be a router issue, modem issue, or phone issue?  I did my research and the RAX200 should of been compatible with the Galaxies.

I do reboot the modem, thinking it was something to do with that, but I am not so sure now.  It seems it is starting to happen more frequently now.

Thank you for any solutions.

  • Are you using wan link aggregation? if so, i'd recommend disabling it.

What speeds do you pay for?

Is it only wireless devices having issues or do wired issues have issues as well.

What firmware is on the RAX?

have you noticed if the devices are connected to 2.4ghz or 5ghz when it happens?

I don't believe I am using WAN link aggregation, but I can check when I get off work.

When I do have internet connection, I speed test just right at around 250 mps, unfortunatley I did try to get more speed from xfinity, but no deals are avialalble yet.

It is just wireless devices that are having issues.  All three bands have issues.  The phones/tablets are on the 5.2 band.  The wireless garage /ring doorbell is on the 2.4 band, and I find that it loses connection when this happens.  That made me wonder if it was indeed the router and not the modem.

I just upgraded to the newest firmware 102 for the RAX.  Firmware for the CM1150 is done by comcast.
