RAX29 — Nighthawk AX2400 WiFi 6 Router

I just purchased a Nighthawk AX2400 router. I connected a Seagate 4TB external hard drive to the USB connector. Everything works but the drive only shows 196 MB of free space. There is nothing on the drive. Any ideas of how to solve this?

Thanks Michael. I appreciate you taking time to reply. I have reformatted the drive several times using every configuration I can think of, both on Mac and on Windows. I have even formatted it to be just one large volume but so far I have not been successful.

My router is a RAX29. While I don't see this particular router in the list in the link you posted, I see several other RAX models. All of them are compatible with the Seagate Expansion Desktop Drive 4TB Model:SRD0NF2 which is the exact model I have.

I also tried plugging another external drive in but had the same issue. This one was a Seagate Backup Portable Drive 2T Model:SRD00F1 which is also on the list of the RAX routers. That one didn't work either.
Lastly, I plugged in a little SanDisk 60 GB flash drive. That one worked but I don't think 60 GB is going to help me much.

      Thanks again for replying.

Does it show any partitions? These can be hidden in Windows. All you are doing is formatting the visible partition. Sadly, ReadySHARE is finding and showing the hidden partition.

Check in the "Disk Management" section in "Computer Management".

That list is incomplete and out of date. It is just a guide. The fact that similar routers support the drive you have is a good sign.
