RAX43 — Nighthawk AX5 5-Stream AX4200 WiFi Router "Loss of Internet while still connected."
Hello,
I am having issues with the wireless abilities of my RAX43.
Problem:
Internet connection will drop suddenly, but I will still be connected to WiFi.
Notes:
- This will happen simultaneously, yet random, across all devices utilizing WiFi (5 Devices).
- It has occurred about once every hour.
- It will last for roughly 1-5 minutes.
- My home-pc, which has a wired connection to the router, will not lose connection.
- All lights are on the router that are normally on, are on. There is no change when the wireless internet drops.
Solutions Tried:
- I have rebooted the router manually by unplugging the router for 10 minutes.
- I have rebooted the router via nighthawk app on my cellphone.
- I have checked for any firmware updates on the nighthawk app (router firmware is up-to-date).
- I have rebooted my Internet Service Providers modem manually for 10 minutes.
- I have reached out to my ISP and they have informed me there are no issues from their end.
- I have checked my routerlogin.net/com for any issues (there are no red flags).
- I have checked my routerlogin.net/com from my PC (hard-wired) when the internet dropped, and my Wireless status still displays as "GOOD."
I am out of the very short warranty window, so I do not have any access to Netgear's certified support. While I do not agree with their lack of efforts to help, I am hope the community can. I take very good care of my router and other internet components.
Any help would be appreciated!
Mitch.

Have you looked at the contents of your router log? It may contain some leads as to the cause. They are under Advanced -> Administration -> Logs.
For security purposes, please do not post the contents of your router log verbatim. The logs contain MAC (Media Access Control) and IP (Internet Protocol) addresses which should remain private and be edited out.

Have you performed a full factory reset (hole at the back of the router, press for 10 seconds) and set up everything manually from scratch?
