My Netgear RAX43 router will drop the connection to a PC minutes after being connected. The PC will still be able to access the Internet and other PCs on the network but won’t be able to access the n...

Thanks for responding. I have not done a factory reset on the router. I guess because this is the first time, I have come across this recommendation. I have done a little research on the possible causes and all sorts of Windows 11 settings have been recommended, but no one ever suggested that the router firmware might be corrupt. Only that the router should be updated to the latest firmware. If the factory reset fixes the problem, I will let you know. You may have a solution here that not very many people or AI agents know about.

I completed the factory reset and used the settings you recommended on your RAX120, but it didn't fix the problem. It didn't improve anything.

Besides 3 PCs running on Windows, I have 2 Android devices that also access readyshare. For far, I have not encountered any problem accessing readyshare from my Android devices. The problem occurs only on my Windows PCs. My suspicion is that Windows added some security update to its SMB feature. However, Netgear never updated it’s SMB firmware for my RAX43 router and it is now out of service updates. If this isn’t true, then something similar might have occurred.

Possible MS did someting in a update. MS has deemed SMB a security risk, especially v1.
Be sure you disable this SMB Auto Removal as well:
Also there are some odd issues with MS Windows 11 24H2 and FDResPub services in windows that maybe at play as well: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/4375194/fdrespub-service-won-t-stay-running-preventing-net
This is an MS issue.
