RAX54 v 2 Won't transmit 2.4Ghz

I just opened & set up a new RAX54v2 yesterday.  At first I only enabled the 5GHz.  That connected well.  Then I realized my printer only connects to the 2.4GHz.  So I went back into the router programming and enabled 2.4 GHz.  I created a new name & password for that band.  But it's not showing up as available.  I did the process of turning things off & back on.  The light on the router for 2.4 GHz isn't lighting up.  I placed this new router in the same location as my old router, in which I only used 2.4, so I know its not location/interference to something near by.  I have OFDMA enabled.  I unchecked the 20/40 MHz Coexistence after reading that could create problems.  Channel is on auto.  I moved security down to WPA2-Personal after reading that could be an issue. So far, nothing has worked.  Any other ideas?

  • Been working on this for hours, but I found the solution.  I had enabled 2.4 SSDI broadcast in the Basic section & thought that was it.  But I just found I also had to enable the 2.4 router radio in the advanced section.  Dang!  You basically need a computer degree to get your router programmed for your needs.  I'm going to bed now for about 4 hours until its time to get up again.

  • I noticed when I'm in the Router Settings & comparing the 5Ghz set up to the 2.4 set up (Advanced Home Page), it says Wireless AP in on for the 5G, but is off for the 2.4.  I don't see a setting to change this.
