This seems to be a dying feature. If the manual doesn't mention it, you are probably out of luck.
Depending on your local setup you could go for a "fake AP mode" by connecting the RAX78 to your primary router with Powerline Ethernet.
I have done this with an Orbi router in AP mode. Worked fine.
