Rax80 - how to set to accept a WAN IP address dynamically

Hello,

I'm about to change to FTTP using Gigaclear in the UK. They've advised that I can use my own router but to make sure that it is "running on IPV4 can accept the WAN IP address dynamically and has a Gigabit WAN port."

When i did the initial set up, would it have been set up to accept the WAN IP address dynamically? Does anyone know where I can check or where to set it?

Thanks

Dave

    Hi Dave,

If you recently purchased the device I would recommend contacting our support team as newly purchased devices are provided with 90 days of complimentary support. You may open a ticket by registering your device using the link below.

Nope, it's outside of the 90 days period, that's why i'm posting here. Doesn't look like I'm going to get any answers though.

I chatted with the ISP, they said it's best to ask Netgear. But I can't do that can I?

But they did suggest that it might be called DHCP mode. I've had a look in the router settings and that is enabled so hopefully it will be fine.
