Raxe300

I have gone through the (manual) setup process for fees with h the router and successfully completed it. I get the message that I successfully connected to the internet. But I’m not. When I go to the status pag it shows I’m not connected. Wh n I look for the reason it says my Ethernet cabl is not connected. But it is. It was working just fine with the router I’m replacing. When I use Windows internet troubleshooter I tells me that my DNS server might be unavailable. When I go to the nether website to open a case the web page just sits there are thinking. H please!

What is the brand name and model number of the upstream device connected between your RAXE300 and the internet?

Concerned with the part about "for fees".   Not sure what you mean?

Since you connected your new router, have you done a complete power down of your network and restarted it in sequence?

In case you have not done so, pull the power cord and power down your modem/ONT (upstream device) and disconnect the Ethernet cord.

Pull the power cord for your RAXE300.

Connect the power cord and boot the upstream device.  Give it plenty of time to fully boot and connect to the internet.  It should have some type of LED that indicates an internet connection.  Wait until it illuminates.

Connect the Ethernet cord to your RAXE300 and connect the power cord to boot it up.  Give it plenty of time to fully boot and wait for the internet connection LED to illuminate.

You should now have access to the internet.

Thanks for your quick response.  I have actually tried to respond to this several times but the interface keeps sticking invalid HTML in my post and then won't let me send it.

Thanks for your quick response. The steps you suggested worked. I had already tried powering down the cable modem and router before I asked for help but apparently I didn't leave them disconnected long enough. In addition there were browser caching issues which made it harder to figure out what was going on.

I was typing in a hurry and was very upset. The iPhone corrected my typos to whatever it thought they should be. I don’t know what “for fees” is either.

Anyhow, I’m happy as a clam now, I have my internet back. And thank you again for the quick response, I very much appreciated it.

        Glad it worked out.

I would not hurt to save a backup copy of your configuration file.  You should find it under Advanced -> Administration -> Backup settings.  In the event of a problem in the future, the file can be used to restore your settings as opposed to going through the setup from scratch.
