Readyshare stopped recognizing any USB drives

I had not used my 500GB external hard drive in a long while but recently tried to access it and Readyshare portal says "no USB drive" so I tried connecting a small USB drive and it still says "no usb" drive.

At first I had thought the 500GB SSD went bad but when the smaller flash drive gave the same results it makes me think there is a problem with the Rax50 itself.

I tried rebooting but still the same results.

What might be the usual reasons why Readyshare previously showed my USB drive and now stopped showing it or any other USB drive ?

Thanks in advance for any ideas !

What FW version is loaded on the router?

What Format are you using on the drives? Be sure it's a supported format.

Same happens with other USB port?

Does the 500Gb drive have it's own power?

Try a factory reset and setup from scratch and see if small sized USB drive is detected?

Thanks for the reply, the Rax50 only has one USB port, the 500GB SSD uses power from the USB and worked fine in the past, the light on the SSD comes on when I plug it in so I assume it is getting power from the connection.

I might eventually try a factory reset as a last resort but was hoping to avoid that if possible.

Don't remember the format offhand but it was working fine in the past with whatever format it is.

      Router firmware version: V1.0.17.142_2.0.100

Possible that the port may have gone bad if the USB drive didn't have it's own power. Most larger sized drives 500Gb and over need additional power. Over time, may have cause the port to go bad.
Would need to factory reset the router and test a small sized drive to see if the port recovers.

Can try reverting back FW version to one prior and see as well.
